Course Description:

This course is designed to comply with the revised training requirements specified in NAS 410 Rev. 2 (effective February 2003) for NDT Level I & II personnel. In addition, it complies with training requirements specified by other documents such as SNT-TC-1A and ANSI/ASNT CP-189. It is for manufacturers, service companies, military organizations, etc. whose personnel require classroom training for qualification and certification in Magnetic Particle Testing, which is used to detect inherent, processing and service related discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. In addition to covering the theoretical aspects of this method, the course provides demonstrations and practical hands-on laboratory using both portable and stationary equipment. The course satisfies the training hours needed for both Level I and II certification in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, and NAS-410.

Prerequisites & Comments:

Levels I/II courses are basic programs for persons with little or no technical background. Class size is limited for maximum utilization of instructor and equipment. Presentation of the course on-site is quoted separately.
